Royalwise Wins BDO Alliance Award for Growth Strategy Excellence
I am absolutely delighted to share that Royalwise has been recognized by the BDO Alliance with an award for Growth Strategy Excellence.
This happened at BDO Evolve 2026, the annual conference for the BDO Alliance, held this year at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas. I’ve been part of the BDO Alliance for three years now, and I have to say, this year felt different in the best possible way.
When Royalwise first joined the BDO Alliance, I was stepping into a whole new world. In the Intuit and QuickBooks ProAdvisor community, I’ve been around for a long time. People know me. They know my books, my classes, my podcast, my training style, and my deep, nerdy love of all things QuickBooks.
But when we first joined BDO Alliance, I was a complete unknown.
We had a booth. We had brochures. We had swag. But people didn’t necessarily know who I was or what Royalwise did. Some people thought I was just someone staffing the booth, not the person who actually created and taught the training.
Fast forward a few years, and now Royalwise has become an active part of the BDO Alliance community. I participate in CAS practice roundtables, lead monthly Ask Alicia Anything sessions for BDO Alliance members, and have gotten to know so many wonderful firms, vendors, advisors, and partners.
So this year, when I walked into BDO Evolve, people knew who I was.
And then Royalwise won an award.

What the Award Recognized
During the main stage opening presentations, BDO Alliance recognized members of the BRN, or Business Resource Network, for excellence in several categories, including workforce culture, innovation, growth strategy, and client experience.
Royalwise won the award for Growth Strategy.
The award itself is gorgeous. It’s one of those beautiful glass awards with a red base, and when you look at it from the top down, the whole thing glows red. It says it was presented to Royalwise for Growth Strategy Excellence, and I am genuinely honored.

But during the main stage presentation, they didn’t really explain why each company won their award. So afterward, a few people came up and asked me, “Okay, you won for growth strategy. What does that actually mean?”
So here’s the story.
We Got Clear About Who We Serve Best
Over the past year, Royalwise’s growth has not come from just “doing more marketing.”
It came from getting clearer.
For years, Royalwise served a wide range of QuickBooks users. We started by helping individual business owners learn how to use QuickBooks. Then we evolved into training bookkeepers, ProAdvisors, and accounting professionals who needed deeper QuickBooks skills.
And we still love serving those audiences.
But over time, we realized there was an even stronger and more scalable opportunity: helping mid-sized CPA firms and CAS practices train their teams consistently.
These firms don’t just need one person to know QuickBooks. They need entire teams to understand QuickBooks Online, workflows, cleanup, conversions, reporting, payroll, apps, advisory, and best practices. They need consistent training across their staff. They need repeatable systems. They need people to stop guessing and start using QuickBooks with real skill and knowledge.
That is exactly where Royalwise shines.
Once we got clear that this audience was one of the best fits for our training, everything started to align.
Better Alignment Created Real Results
By focusing more intentionally on CPA firms, CAS teams, and accounting professionals who need scalable training, we saw measurable growth.
Over the past year, Royalwise achieved a 250% increase in revenue and more than doubled engagement in our webinars and courses.
That didn’t happen because we shouted louder.
It happened because we became more aligned with the people who benefit most from what we do.
When the right people find the right training at the right time, everything works better. The marketing works better. The sales conversations are easier. The students are more engaged. The firms get better results. And our content has a bigger impact.
That’s the sweet spot.
We Reworked Our Memberships to Better Serve Firms
Another major part of our growth strategy was reworking our membership structure.
And here’s the part that may surprise people: we lowered our prices.
We did not raise them.
Our goal was to make it easier for firms to give their teams access to high-quality QuickBooks training at scale. If a firm has five, ten, twenty, fifty, or more people who need QuickBooks training, the pricing and structure have to make sense.
So we refined our membership tiers around what firms actually use and need.
We wanted the value to be clear. We wanted the access to be easier. We wanted firms to feel like, “Yes, this is something we can roll out to our team, and it will actually help.”
That shift improved adoption, retention, and overall fit.
Data Helped Guide the Strategy
A big part of this growth has also been paying close attention to the data.
We monitor participation, completion rates, engagement metrics, class feedback, client questions, and what firms ask for again and again.
That data helps us make better decisions.
Sometimes it means refining course content. Sometimes it means adjusting how we talk about a class. Sometimes it means changing pricing. Sometimes it means realizing that a training topic we thought was obvious is actually something firms desperately need.
The point is that we don’t want to guess.
We want to listen, measure, adjust, and improve.
QUEST Helped Us Scale Training for Firms
One of the biggest reasons Royalwise joined the BDO Alliance in the first place was our QUEST portal.
QUEST allows accounting firms to white-label our learning management system and provide structured QuickBooks training inside their own firm. In other words, firms can deploy our content to their team through a branded training portal, without having to build the whole thing from scratch.
That has positioned Royalwise not just as a training provider, but as a long-term workforce development partner.
Because the real challenge for firms is not just, “Can one person attend one class?”
The bigger challenge is, “How do we build QuickBooks knowledge across the whole team in a repeatable, scalable way?”
That’s what QUEST helps solve.
Growth Came From Clarity
Ultimately, this award recognized something very important to me: our growth came from clarity.
We got clearer about who we serve.
We got clearer about what those clients need.
We got clearer about how our training can make the biggest difference.
And we got clearer about how to deliver that training in a way that scales without sacrificing quality.
That is what growth strategy means to me.
It’s not just bigger numbers. It’s not just more leads. It’s not just more sales.
It’s alignment.
It’s making sure that what we offer, who we serve, how we price it, how we deliver it, and how we support people all work together.
Thank You to the BDO Alliance Community
I am incredibly grateful to the BDO Alliance for this recognition, and I am especially grateful to the firms, advisors, CAS leaders, vendors, and partners who have welcomed Royalwise into this community over the last few years.
The first year, I walked in as an unknown.
This year, I walked in and saw friends.
That matters.
And it also reminded me of one of my biggest takeaways from the conference: relationships are everything. The growth of Royalwise has not just been about strategy on paper. It has been about real conversations, real needs, real firms, and real people trying to build stronger teams.
That is why this award means so much.
To everyone who has taken a Royalwise class, joined an OWLS membership, attended an Ask Alicia Anything session, used QUEST, brought us into your firm, recommended us to a colleague, or simply stopped by the booth to say hello, thank you.
We are honored.
And we are just getting started.
